What natural fiber fabrics are available?
Our Naturals include various weaves and fabric qualities. Here's an overview of the most important variations.
Twill & Herringbone
The herringbone pattern is created by a special arrangement of the twill weave. Within the pattern repeat, the direction of the twill weave changes, resulting in the characteristic V-shaped pattern.
You can find herringbone fabrics from us in jute, linen, and cotton, among others. Depending on the quality, they are suitable for curtains, cushions, and upholstery.
Satin
The satin weave, also known as Atlas weave, is one of the three basic weaving types. It is characterized by a predominantly smooth surface with a different appearance on the face and back sides.
Satin fabrics can have a supple drape and a shiny surface. Depending on the material and quality, they are suitable for curtains, cushions, and bed linen, for example.
Our organic satin from controlled organic cultivation is available for corresponding textile applications. You can find the exact certification in the respective product information.
Ottoman
Ottoman refers to a fabric with pronounced transverse ribs, created by the weave and the yarns used.
Our Ottoman is made from recycled cotton and jute, depending on the version. Due to its distinctive structure, the fabric is particularly suitable for decorative applications and – provided the technical values allow it – for upholstery.
Panama and Half-Panama
Panama weaves are based on the plain weave. Several warp and/or weft threads are woven together as bundles, creating the typical checkerboard-like structure.
With half-Panama, the structure is correspondingly finer. Our Panama and half-Panama fabrics are available in various material qualities and, depending on the version, are suitable for upholstery, sturdy curtains, cushions, and other decorative projects.
Bicolor
In bicolor fabrics, yarns of different colors are woven together. By combining, for example, a colored weft yarn with a natural-colored warp yarn, a special two-tone look is created.
Our bicolor fabrics are available in various color combinations and, depending on the quality, can be used for decoration, upholstery, and sewing projects.
Jacquard
Jacquard weaves enable particularly complex patterns and structures. The weaving technique is named after the French weaver Joseph-Marie Jacquard.
In Jacquard weaving, warp threads can be selectively and independently lifted. This allows for intricate patterns, reliefs, and three-dimensional structures to be created directly in the fabric.
Our Naturals series includes selected Jacquard fabrics with distinct surfaces and a noticeable feel. The respective material compositions and finishes can be found in the product details.
Canvas
Canvas is a strong fabric, usually produced in plain weave. Warp and weft threads are tightly interwoven.
Our canvas fabrics are made from cotton, hemp, jute, or linen, depending on the product. In our assortment, you will find canvas with organic cotton, as well as qualities made from recycled fiber materials.
Some canvas fabrics are extra-wide, making them suitable for large curtains, tablecloths, and other textile projects with larger dimensions.
Voile
Voile is a fine, lightweight, and usually transparent fabric. Different fiber materials can be used depending on the construction.
Our voile natural fabrics are available in cotton, linen, or hemp, among others. Depending on the quality, they are particularly suitable for light curtains and transparent window decorations.
Denim (Twill)
Denim is a robust fabric typically made in a twill weave. This construction creates the characteristic diagonal lines on the surface.
Our denim fabrics are made with hemp or linen yarns, depending on the product. Selected qualities made of linen are suitable, for example, for curtains, table decorations, and other textile home projects.
Natural Fiber Fabrics for Individual Projects
Whether fine voile, rustic canvas, structured jacquard, or classic herringbone – the different natural fiber fabrics offer diverse possibilities for individual sewing and interior design projects.
Before purchasing, we recommend checking the material composition, fabric width, grammage, care instructions, and technical properties of the respective item. This way, you can select the appropriate fabric quality for your project.
