Recycled Cotton

New fibers and yarns can be created from used cotton textiles. In our fabrics made from recycled cotton, existing cotton fibers are re-introduced into the textile cycle and processed into new fabrics.

How is recycled cotton made?

To produce recycled cotton, discarded cotton textiles are collected, sorted, and prepared for further processing. The textiles are sorted by color and material composition, then mechanically broken down into their fibers.

The recovered cotton fibers are spun into new yarns. Depending on the manufacturing process and desired quality, other fibers may be added. Subsequently, the yarns are processed into new fabrics.

In this way, existing textiles are transformed into new textile materials with different colors, patterns, and surfaces.

Recycled cotton fabrics by the meter

The recycled cotton yarns are processed into various fabric qualities during the weaving process. Our assortment includes curtain fabrics, sheer curtains, upholstery fabrics, decorative fabrics, and apparel fabrics made from recycled cotton fibers.

The fabrics are available in solid colors or with various patterns and in different colors. Depending on the quality, small proportions of other fibers may be present in the material due to the recycling process. The exact composition can be found on the respective product page.

Recycling instead of disposal

By using existing cotton fibers, new yarns and fabrics can be produced from used textiles. This means that existing textile raw materials are re-used for the production of new products.

The properties of a fabric made from recycled cotton depend, among other things, on the fiber composition, the manufacturing process, and the respective finishing.
