What is voile?

Voile is a light, fine fabric, often made in plain weave from smooth, finely spun yarns. Depending on the material and construction, voile can appear transparent or semi-transparent.

Various fibers are used as raw material. Commonly used are, for example, cotton, linen, viscose and polyester. Blends of different fibers are also possible.

Voile can be produced in both plain and patterned designs. Different printing processes, weaving techniques and effect yarns enable a wide variety of surfaces and designs.
